What do we have planned so far?

Every time the festival takes place, it’s a little different. So what can you plan for this time around?

  • International Slackline Association Certifications available during Fourth Moon Festival:

    Instructor C
    Rigger

  • Fourth Moon Camp has some of the most incredible and unique treenets you'll ever encounter. Moonshine is just one net containing 500+ bolts and more than 40 miles of cordage/rope.

We also have ample space for you to rig your own spacenet!

  • This is where Fourth Moon Festival started, so it’s bound to be involved every time. We’ve got highlines permarigged, alpine lines planned, and plenty of space for midlines. We also have a bunch of low, parklines and limitless space for you to bring your own line.

  • Seneca Rocks is a premier rock climbing destination. If you do not have experience here though, it is highly recommended you hire a guide or reach out to more experienced friends.

  • Not only are the ample hiking trails around Seneca, but Fourth Moon Camp also has a handful of private, unique trails only accessible during Fourth Moon Festival!

  • We encourage attendees to use bikes to get around town while visiting. In addition, there are several private MTB trails on Fourth Moon Camp property, and world class trails nearby as well.

  • Swimming holes are marked on our event map.

  • Seneca Rocks is surrounded by some of the best freshwater trout fishing in all of North America. Fly fishing is especially widely practiced here, and we can refer you to a top notch fishing guide with decades of experience, if you are interested!

  • Yokum’s Stables offers affordable reservations for horseback riding. You can ride the horses from the valley to North Peak, or schedule to ride them on Fourth Moon Camp property. No prior experience required!

  • Acro has been part of the slackline community for decades, so you can count on a base or flyer to never be far away!

  • We already have two lyra, a pair of silks, and a strap setup. In addition, we have more than a dozen spaces ready for you to rig your own setup as well. Please reach out ahead of time to arrange your assigned anchor space.

  • Every other attendee to the festival seems to practice some form of flow art, so the duration of the festival seems like one big flow toy expo. Especially Friday and Saturday night; these times often provide ample opportunity for flow performance.

Juggling, balancing, hoop/ring/lyra, pole, trapeze, silks, fans, whips, aerobatics, acro yoga, etc, etc.

  • There is one official launch and several more advanced options for paragliders at Seneca Rocks. We can put you in touch with the local community so that you can hopefully plan something amazing!

  • Our region of Appalachia has one of the highest densities of caves in the entire world. Pretty much everywhere you walk, there are caves underneath you. We can link you up with the local cavers to enjoy some underground time while you're here.

  • Past years have included artists such as, DJ's, painters, pastelorians, graffiti, programmers, etc. Feel free to bring you art, and we can find space for demonstration or performance!

Music, lights, displays, projectors, paintings, pastels, tapestries, etc, etc.
